I know this has been discussed at length, and both sides of the argument are pretty serious in their opinion. I'm not asking for opinions on randomly switching.
I recently dropped off my EDC to have some work done. Anyone who's seen my "tribal" Sig 1911 U.C. is aware of how I detest the tribal graphics that were laser etched and inlayed black on the stainless slide.
So I took the plunge, decided to have the graphics professionally removed and the slide cerakoted in target gray to approximate the brushed stainless. If they're able, they may polish the slide back to original stainless finish. Just gotta wait and see.
So for the time being (2-3 weeks possibly) I'm going to be carrying the new Sig Match Elite in .38 Super. It's a full size, all steel gun and I'm carrying it in the Galco V-Hawk I acquired from a member here.
2 days in and it doesn't seem much different, except for the extra 1-3/4" in length when I sit down.
Just not sure if Iike the idea of the ambi safety carrying cocked and locked.
