Hello, I have a 2 part question re: SW MP9 compact: does anyone have any experience with novak sights vs hiviz sights. I am currently leaning toward hiviz. 2nd. SW pro action pkg vs current trigger action. pro action will reduce trig pull to 4.5lbs and trigger reset just under a .25. is it worth the cost of $150 and are there any watchouts for sights or trigger pkg. thanks for the help. SG

Salesguy, most S&W owners don't spend the extra money on the Pro series and few are given a chance to ever handle one in a store. The most popular option is the Apex hard sear and ultimate striker block combo (around $80) that corrects both heavy, gritty trigger pull and reset (mine was 4 lbs.). I feel its better than the Pro trigger. It does induce considerable pretravel but very little creep and very crisp.

Sights on the Pro are much better than the standard sights but if you're looking for something different why pay more upfront? I put Dawson Precision sights on two of my three M&Ps and love them. For my third I'm planning on TFO sights (Tritium Fiber Optic) which combines day and night visibility. Remember any tritium sight must be installed with a pusher so it's off to the gs adding expense. As far as brands I think HiViz is the only maker for what I want but I would much prefer Novak's.

Check out speedshooterspecialties.com for what's available. Best of luck.
