I bought this back in 2007 and it has no front swivel stud below the bracket as this has the extended mag plus two . This also has no stud on the stock. I remember asking people before and they said Remington thinks you dont need one if its design for home defense.

SOmetime in 2009 they changed the HD model and added new stock with stud eyelet and the front bracket has the stud eyelet as well. It looks like this

Now, is there a part i can buy to just add to my existing front bracket? I want to retain the original bracket . I measured the hole underneath its 3/8 inch diameter. In case someone here can suggest this remedy . If not, ill get the Tacstar clamp with a stud serving as screw.

Nathan, I bought an Express with synthetic stock a few months ago. It had the stud on the stock but none on the mag cap. Foolishly I thought that any stud would do... wrong again. I contacted a member here that works with Remington shotguns for police and self defense purposes. He quickly set me straight, provided the correct part number that I needed, then even pointed out that I could save the shipping since the part was commonly available at most firearms outlets. Here's his website, and I highly recommend him....

The BMT magazine clamp weighs only 1.5oz. and is lighter than the factory Remington stamped steel clamp that comes on the Remington 870 with an extended magazine tube. You can mount a variety of rails and sling mount systems on this clamp. It can use optional 5 slot or 3 slot rails to put the light and clamp exactly where you need it. One tool for one bolt is all that is needed to attach and remove this clamp in seconds. Comes with all wrenches and 3M polyurethane no slip grip pads to protect your finish. Includes a built in non rotational sling swivel cup for QD PB sling swivels. With illumination and targeting systems getting smaller, lighter and more compact, we're moving with the industry, law enforcement and the military to provide a superior mounting platform that provides for a stronger, less complicated attachment for your weapon.Fits 12 ga. shotguns with 1" of space on a 1" magazine tube. Fits Remington 870, 1100, 1187, Benelli M1/M2/M4/M104 (not SuperNova), Mossberg 500 7 shot, 590 (not the 590A1 or SPX models, see MTC clamp), Winchester 1300, 1200 and SXP Defender.

Don't know if that is out of budget, but CDM Gear makes good stuff:

if you call Remington, like I was suggested to do by members of this forum when I posted this exact same topic, they may send you the parts you need like they did me.

search's can be a handy thing.
