I want to accessorize my 7 1/2 inch stainless adjustable sight Ruger Old Army and am having trouble finding the more common items such as picatinny rails, black powder rated flashlights and extra cylinder carriers and cap guards that attach to the frame side. Does anyone make an attachment clip for affixing my North American Arms Companion to the ball ram arm of my Old Army so I can have a "New York reload" at hand? Does Crimson Trace make laser grips for the Old Army? Or would grips for the Blackhawk work fine? Also thinking of a short bayonet and sheath (too long would look silly) that attaches to the barrel if I can find a three way rail set-up. Also, Can anyone recommend a holographic sight system for my gun and the appropriate mount base? Ideas for a Kydex tactical speed holster that attaches to my surplus battle gear would be appreciated too.Thanks. Don

Forgot to add that I'm trying to determine the best flash suppressor for my barrel length Old Army, but articles rating them for this gun are scarce. Advice appreciated also. As always thanks, Don.

Altamont grips are indeed beautiful. I recently bought an ROA with a custom scrimshawed set of Altamont grips on them, and posted a photo in the ROA thread of this fine forum. Don

Did someone spike you eggnog or did you accidently take momma's little helper?
If a person wants all those toys on a gun buy the gun that supports them and don't screw-up a ROA.

How about the 2" snubbie barrel for the ROA? I don't remember seeing that model.... with, of course , faux carbon fiber grip panels.

Get the Mossberg 464 SPX to go with it.

First time i seen that gun doing a google search i laughed and thought some one did a fine photoshop job then i seen it in a mossberg catalog and i thought wth is mossberg thinking.

Thanks for all the input folks. If I can get together a prototype I'll share photos of the final assembly. Don

:eek: Looks like a 48-shooter or so. I would steer clear of anyone who could hold that with one arm extended. that thing would be heavy -- especially when loaded.:what:

"Well if this sucker were to chain fire............."

That would take a whole tube of bore butter to seal off the front.

And yeah, that sucker would be heavy loaded up....

And then there's the issue of finding a good holster for it too.

Thanks for the xmas present

Just what I needed adfter tallying up the annual ,,,for lack of a better thought at this singular moment in my personal walk----,,,,spending STEW-PID-ITTTY... I have had my OLD ARMY since 1977.

I have found that a smidge of dog doo holds but anything ya want ta hang on that puppy!!! Multiple applications may be needed depending on the canine's breed and diet.
For some strange reason Chi-wah-wah holds the longest. However them thare long skinny hard as a ten penny nail strands most difficult of all to apply to stainless steel.

Only use CHI CHI on Blued OAR

Stainless works best with any good ole Heinz 57 MUTT's drops. Steer away from ALPO fed mutts however.
Too little cereal in FIDO's diets leads to a loooooose consistency, takes days to dry. and the stench fills the garage or Man Cave for months

Make sure it is dry doodie starting to show small cracks before you puts any lead down range

Appearance of small cracks around the adhesive's perimeter confirmsd ya know its dry; when the hung ornament flies off no stench.

GOD BLESS Happy New year Yawl!!!!!
