very nice... is that the light palma profile on the barrel?

just last week I got to shoot a .308 w/ can for the first time. I didn't really care about the sound suppression (cool as it was) but the recoil reduction was amazing! borderline ridiculous even.

kis2, that is one of the great aspects (as well as reducing the blast, especially when compared to a brake). IIRC a good suppressor will reduce recoil better than a "efficient" (for hearing loss anyway) muzzle brake up to about .338LM (above which a brake will do a bit better). One of the primary reasons the SRS will be getting one of Zak's excellent Ti. sound moderators (probably a 30BA) in the future.

:)

Ha, something like that. Lately more of my "field" photos have been of other people so no new photos of mine out there. We had the AWSM out for a can photo shoot and I snapped a few of the whole rifle.

The 7RM barrel pictured is a heavy Palma. Medium Palma looks like 1858's AW- that's what my .260 barrel was too.

Just finished this one today; Remington 700 SPS in .308 with AICS stock, Timney trigger set to 1.5 lbs., Nightforce steel rings, Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20 scope, and Versa-pod bipod. Hopefully I'll get her out to sight in in the next couple of days.

lookin good guys

TIMC, make sure to share with us your range results

I have a buddy with a steyr (I forget which version now). The stock didn't fit me well, but none the less, topped with a zeiss, we got it to shoot a .4moa at 200yds with factory ammo. The was it's first trip out, so who knows what the average will be, but seems promising.

bump for my barrel being held up :( ... let's see some more to ease my pain.

Bout time. Glad you finally received all your bits and pieces and got it all assembled. Hope it performs as well as it looks.

:)

thanks mav, we'll see how it shoots very soon. going to load up some rounds tonight and then the very next chance I get, we'll be at the range

...and that fluted bolt handle (look closely), which should help dissipate the heat from working the bolt so fast. :D
