Or into it.
I am looking for another rifle in the AK platform.I have an Arsenal CR107 but I am feeling the need .."want".. for another AK.
Is the Yugo worth getting for the price or is there something else I should look for in that price range?

The NPAPs designed for use with an optic have a higher stock angle that forces you to get your cheek down lower onto the stock to use the iron sights.

This is uncomfortable (and mildly painful) on the cheekbone for many shooters.
The guns run fine, but this IS an issue for shooting enjoyment & comfort.

It doesn't affect everybody the same, but it did me on two of those guns & has a number of others.

If you want to tinker with the stock, it's do-able. :)

It is not, however, replaceable with a standard AK stock.

I don't think it has a chrome lined barrel. Given all the mildly corrosive ammo floating around, I'd be hesitant to get a non-chrome 7.62x39 barrel. I'd I were getting another AK, I'd look at the Polish pioneer AKs.

Holy thread resurrection Batman!
I bought said Npap....it has been flawless.Cheek slap is real...nose on dust cover relieves it.It is fairly accurate...it is an AK after all.
My question is,I am hearing horror stories of the pap's "egging" receiver pin holes and deformation of the bolt carrier.
I have about 600 rds through it and it does have deformation of the tip on the bolt carrier....but so does the Arsenal.....Slightly.
Anybody else have a pap that they could check?

Thanks guys!

Well im aware of the peening on the back of the pap bolt carrier. It will deform and eventually stop, just keep shooting. If it bothers you, I would get a surplus m70 carrier. I think any standard akm carrier should work though. I have a century M70B1 that is built on a surplus parts kit, the carrier tail has no deformation or mushrooming on the tail.

I've got 2 PAP's but both are pistols that I SBR'd (M85 and M92)

No problems with either of them ... both seem well built and no peening issues but I've only got a few hundred rounds through each.
