Not sure where to post this so I figured General would be a good place. Does anyone know a website were you can make your own targets that you can print out. And how to make a target stand out of cheap around the house things?

Where we go is a free range and all it is, is hills and you put your target up and thats about it. We need targets and a target stand.

Any and all help is appreciated.

This isn't an exact answer to the question you asked, but I feel that you should take a look at this website:
www.letargets.com

Under "SHOP" (top of page), click "Paper and Cardboard Targets" on the sub-menu. There are a whole lot of interesting targets there.

Targets? Paper plates. Cheap, high contrast bullet holes, about the right size to simulate center of mass.

Holder? My brother made kind of a neat one out of PVC pipe from Home Depot. It is a "T" shape and he hangs paper plates off of it with spring clips. Drive a piece of rebar into the ground and set the pipe over it. He can disassemble it an put it all in a saddle bag on his bike.

When I'm going to shoot pistols or with irons, I sometimes make targets by spraypainting used 8.5 X 11 sheets of paper. I use a template made of cardboard that I had cut a circle out of (a traced soup can works well.)

My favorite target stands are yard signs. I have my family get them when they can, and hang on to them for me. Election time and garage sale season is the best time to get these for free. They last for a long time, unless you shoot the metal up.

Printing you own targets is not really a great option. By the time you figure paper and ink costs, you can buy large targets for a little more and they are much nicer, particularly for practical shooting practice.

I will second letargets as a source for targets. They are great to deal with and have many interesting and unique targets.

As for target stands, you can build one yourself with a few tools. There are many plans online. I would not make one of the all PVC stands as they are very flexible. The polyfoam backers that are available from letargets and others are very nice and will last for thousands of rounds. They are also weather resistant.
