While it is true Taurus does use undersized parts so they just drop in with no hand fitting, Most other guns in that range and even higher do the same thing.
But one thing about the Taurus is it doesn't seem to mess with its accuracy. Mine was just as accurate at 2k rounds as it was new.
Im sure some guys at TaurusArmed.com may have several guns that have many thousands of rounds threw them.
One good side of having parts that aren't fit so tight is that the gun will usually feed anything and not so picky due to such tight tolerances.
I never messed with the key lock on in hammer, Its never been an issue.
