Taurus 605 question

Will a Taurus 605 use the same holster as a Smith J-frame?

In my experience, it depends. It will not fit in a J-frame Fobus Holster--I've tried it, to my chagrin. Barrel assembly is too fat on the Taurus. As for non-precisely-molded holsters (like the Don Hume JIT Slide, for example), it will probably work fine.

OK, so if it is a molded holster for a J-frame, then it will probably not work. I appreciate the help.

Yes it does. Look for ones that are cataloged for the taurus mod 85. Same frame and most bianchi holsters that fit the J-frame will also fit the 605. My personal favorite is the black widow.

Also, Fobus makes one specifically for the mod85 which fits the 605 perfectly. I have one. Rides a little low for ccw though.

The holster is designed not to cover the trigger guard, however!!
