Taurus 608 locked up

I own four Taurus weapons. A PT99, Mod 66, Judge and a 941. The first three are great guns and shoot well. The NEW 941 is a piece of junk. It was sent to Taurus for repair. Only half of the repairs were done and they sent my brand NEW 941 back with dents in the frame.:banghead:
I wrote a letter of complaint to the CEO Mr. Morrison (registered/return receipt). I know they got the letter but I guess they were out of toliet paper.

NO MORE TAURUS FOR ME, EVER! :fire:

JR47, if you click on the link provided in my post, you'll see exactly where the information about the differences in the S&W and Taurus crane/yoke assemblies came from.
Now whether or not Mr. Eckstine was full of BS when he wrote the article, I cannot say.

I had a customer bring a Taurus Judge in to me a couple of years ago. He said that it would freeze up on two of the cylinders. I confirmed his statement later with a function check. After a detailed inspection I found out that there were burs left inside the ejector rod housing at the very front end of the cylinder. It took a couple of hours of applying a fine grit lapping compound and some patience. I got it working again without that nasty sticking problem. I would highly recommend you take in to a local smith and at least have them take a look at it. Loosening screws on a revolver to make it function is not a good thing.
