My dad had a taurus revolver that quit working years ago, some type of S&W model 10 clone. They hemmed and hawed about it, their reason being that it was no longer in production - lifetime warranty notwithstanding. I informed them that the fact that they decided to quit making my gun was their decision, not mine. As luck would have it, this was about a week before SHOT in 2011, and I was going as a military rep. So, I made some time between seeing real vendors, and headed over to their booth. When I got there, go figure- a rep from a Latin American military was speaking with their CEO. I waited my turn, and when the CEO had a moment, he asked me what was up (the latin American was still standing there) I just laid it all out right there, and guess what? All he wanted to know at that point was the name and address of my LGS. By the time I got back to NC, there was a brand new taurus 38 revolver that they DID make at the time waiting for me at my LGS, with a request to box up the inoperable one and send it back to them- which I promptly did. Then I gave my dad the new Taurus, which is still in the box in the closet. That is my only experience with Taurus customer service. YMMV.
