Anyone else own one? I have the G3 & G3c.
I think both are terrific.
I like the G3 the best though. Feels better in my hand. Still need to put it through it's pace's.
Figure if I put 500-600 rds of ball and jhp down the pipe with no issues, then it's good to go as one ofy ccw's.

I have the G3. I'm happy with it. I'm around the 1000 rounds mark with various factory ammo. Not one single problem of any kind.
I made a review here: https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/my-new-taurus-g3-alot-of-pics.877292/

In my experience the accuracy is not stellar but still good for a combat pistol. It really depends on the ammunition used and ranges from barely acceptable to excellent, as this very interesting video demonstrates:

The PT111 was improved and became the G2/G2C. The G2/2C was improved and became the G3/G3C. I have owned four.

My stepdad bought an original PT111. Its trigger is appalling and it malfunctioned regularly. He gave it to me recently. Whenever I get around to it, I will figure out what the malfunction is and see if Taurus will repair/replace it. Then I'll just sell it or trade it or give it to a friend or something. Maybe sell the parts?

I have slightly more advanced PT111 versions in 32acp and 45acp. Their triggers are better. They don't malfunction. They are functional, and it's not easy to get pistols that size in those calibers. I don't adore them, but they work.

My G2C was very good (and cost almost nothing). It seemed like a virtual copy of my Glock 26. It even fit in the same holsters. The trigger was not quite as good as the Glock, so I let the G2C go. It was a nice pistol, though.

If the G3 is a further improvement, it's probably a nice pistol.

I have owned lots of Taurus handguns, but I'm not really a fanboy. IMHO, their S&W-derived revolvers and Beretta-derived semiautos are usually pretty good, though there is an occasional lemon. The PT111/G2/G3 series has been around a long time and probably has the bugs worked out of it. I'm not interested in their other stuff. I give them credit for continuing to experiment, though.

I've got a PT111, a PT111G2, a G2C and just picked up a G3C
PT111 at the time was the 3rd gen. The trigger on it is fantastic. It's smooth, crisp and light.
The PT111G2 and the G2C are very good shooters, but both of them have a little "catch" in the trigger. I think it's the safety lever catching a little.
So far the G3C is performing well, but I've only put about 6 mags through it so far.

Same experience here. It seemed to me that during live fire the trigger became a little heavier at the wall, thing that the trigger didn't do during dry fire. That was during the first two or three range trips. I didn't notice anything strange in the last ones.

I like my G3 a lot. I guess I have a thousand or so rounds through it. No problems with the factory mags. I have a PT111 G2 that I carry. The G3 has a light on it so I use it as the nightstand / camper gun.

I have a PT145, a G2c, and a Gx4. The first two have long mushy triggers, but are serviceable. One is my truck lock box gun, the other strategically positioned somewhere in the house.
I carry my Gx4. Like the G2c seems to be a G26 copy, with a 1911-style safety (and yes I used G26 holsters for both the PT145 and G2c) the Gx4 seems a lot like the Springfield Hellcat.
The trigger on the Gx4 is leaps and bounds better than the Millennium series and their 'second strike' triggers.

I just got a G3C and thus far my only complaint is I can't find a comfortable firm grip for my right hand. The trigger guard is large and pretty far from the web of my palm and the lower edge of the guard bites into my middle finger knuckle.
I bought this mainly as a range & plinking gun but this is taking the fun out of shooting it.

Maybe a little Dremel work?

I had a G3C and my only complaint with it was that the trigger took some getting use to. If I was switching back and forth between another brand of pistol, the double strike capability on the G3c through me off every now and then. It would feel like I had a dead trigger but I was not pulling it back far enough. Other then that it was a great gun. The issue was with me and my shooting style not the gun.

I have a G2C and cant really say nothing bad about it. It pretty much goes bang everytime I pull the trigger with the exception of a light primer strike on occasion but that could just as easily be ammo related. It doesn't have the best trigger in the world, but its not terrible either. 12 shot magazine capacity is also a plus. It isn't the most accurate pistol I have ever owned but I can pop a milk jug at 25 yards with it using the admittedly not so great factory sights. For the money it is hard to beat. I assume the G3 line-up is similar and probably pretty good for the price.
