Taurus new SA 1873 Colt Clone

I do wish the manufacturers would stop writing all over their barrels. Otherwise, it's an attractive, classic gun.

Just received an email from Taurus. They are releasing the "Deputy" an 1873 mod colt SA 51/2 inch and in .45 Colt, and .357 mag. Polished blk finish. Looks pretty nice, in the pics.
I have 2 of their "Gauchos" in .357. I wonder if parts from them will interchange,??.
All in all it looks pretty good.

W H A T no dang WAY!

BAD BUTT! Uberti need to step it up

Any changes from their previous SAA-type guns? How many clicks? Transfer bar?
Hope it’s a 4-click and no crap!

Funny thing, I was watching Twilight Zone last night, and had my 1964 Colt, well it sleep next to me, and now I wake up to think good news!

I've had some good Taurus revolvers. Too bad for them I already have those SAA bases covered by Uberti and Pietta.

hmm. just by looking at it I don't think I will be tempted away from buying an italian gun when the time comes.

If they have an option for adjustable sights in I’m in for a 357. I personally am a fan of most Taurus products that are not polymer in primary construction. Between their news on a bolt action rifle and now this, I may legitimately buy nothing but Taurus/Rossi for a year or two… but I do like the idea of a S&W lever gun. My bank account is puckered up and waiting for impact.

Definitely like the Taylor more!

I have had very mixed results with Taurus firearms in the past.

Having said that, I think the more options the better. I am glad to see a new six-gun on the market and hope the Taurus sells well.

Looks decent but my Taylor's reproduction with 45 Colt and 45ACP cylinder was just a bit more expensive and has gorgeous bluing and the grips are amazing.
