There are a lot of photos of the 9mm Taurus 709 Slim out there, even on the Taurus website, but they look absolutely nothing like the final gun.
This is the old one:

I was lucky enough to handle the blued and titanium versions at the NRA show, and these little pocket pistols were my personal pick of the show.
Not too small, not too big, available with a magazine extender, and best of all fitted with a Glock style trigger that offered a re-strike capability for a failed round. Taurus actually describes the trigger as a short/light DA/SA trigger, but it was perfect to me.
Sights are 3 dot, capacity is 7+1 or 9+1 with the extender, barrel is 3.2 inches, weight is 19 oz for the blue or stainless and 17 oz for the titanium.
Pocket sized with a very cool angular looking frame and due out in roughly 3 months along with a new pocket 22, 25, and 380.
I know Taurus isn't universally popular, but I'm going to make one of these my first.
