TC Black Daimond

Hi all......a friend offered me a sale on his Black Diamond.Stainless steel with black sythetic stock.I assume $200.00 is a excellant buy.That is what he wants for it.I am about ready to buy it and I would appreciate some information or opinions this gun.
Also....what is the difference between the Black Diamond and Black Diamond XR?
Would the max effective range for the Black Diamond be up to 200 yds?

2 bills seems pretty good, as I paid $160 for a used but excellent Firehawk. The XR has a 26" bbl, and the regular BD i think is 22". 200 yards is a real stretch from 22 inches, and IMHO is a long ways for even the 28" bbl of my Omega. Is it .45 or .50? 45's shoot a bit flatter, but less retained energy at range. But anyways, it's a fair price for a very servicable gun.

I have an XR that I bought on sale a about 2 years ago for $210. It's a good rifle, but I see no added advantage over the standard model. You can load it heavier, but the accuracy in mine falls off when heavily loaded. You are really stretching it when you start to look for 200 yards shots out of one if you expect to take big game with it. I would say stay within 125 to 150 yards with a .50 cal for a max shot.
