May I suggest those that would find his comments "not pretty", need to pull their heads out of their backsides.

What is ugly about his comments? Only people that are irrational, emotional, ideologues would find his comments ugly.

He makes a case for shooting criminals dead instead of letting them harm people, including children. For those idiots that believe in rehab for criminals, look at the recidism rates for our country.

Added to which this little piece of logic: If the criminal wasn't doing something criminal against another, their chances of being shot dead by that person would practically zero. So the fault lies with the criminal if they end up getting shot while engaging in illegal activity.

Those people that may be on the fence on this type of issue may not like the tone of his comments, but if they disagree with innocents defending themselves against criminals, what does it matter? They probably aren't ever going to be pro-gun rights.

Uncle Ted is one of the finest spokesmen we have for the 2nd amendment. He is passionate, well informed, well spoken, well known, and is WILLING to stand up and not only support, but push for more gun rights.

Thanks Ted Nugent, you make a difference for good in this world.

camslam - again, it's not that I disagree with anything the man says. He's right on the money.

It's a matter of presentation. He's passionate yes, but the way he chooses to get his point across, most notably at the end of the interview - can be jarring to some.

There's a difference in perception. When we talk about "defending ourselves against violent criminals" - most people are going to get that.
When we talk about "I wish she would have taken a .38 and shot the bastard in the chest 6 times." That tends to make people take a step back.

It's all about presentation and perception.

That is the video where I got my sig line.
One of the best, single most indisputable lines I've ever heard.

Great line, one problem it’s not true. I f Ted Nugent really believed that the Second amendment was his concealed weapons permit he wouldn’t have gone out of his way to get himself appointed a special constable in Texas so than he could carry concealed any place in America that a cop can carry

ETA And should anyone wish to verify be my guest

I see Nugent getting out there making his voice heard. True he could use a bit of refinement in his delivery but I could see a Palin/Nugent ticket for the GOP in '12. Beauty and the beast!;)

Yes, Nugent is on our side. But he's not winning us any new supporters. The man's a redneck lout. Anyone who's not already pro-gun just gets turned off by the guy. Give me Massad Ayoob anytime.
