I have a Rock Chucker press that is 25 or so years old. The primer catch tray broke on it a couple weeks ago. So I e-mailed RCBS asking about buying a new one.

They e-mailed be back saying that the tray is covered under the lifetime warranty! WOW, that is some great customer service.

"They e-mailed be back saying that the tray is covered under the lifetime warranty!"

Well, yes. But you should understand that it's sure not for "free." Such parts are paid for in the high original price. Even if you never get anything replaced by them, the original purchaser DID PAY for it!

RCBS service is outstanding. When the pivot points on my old Rockchucker froze up after having it for over 25 years, they sent me a new press, no questions asked. I've also called them about other parts that I needed, and those were also sent without question.

On one occasion, I bought a bench top priming tool on an auction site and some of the parts were missing. When I called RCBS to purchase the missing parts, I told the very helpful woman that I had bought it used and she said it didn't matter, a lifetime warranty was just that. The missing parts were sent without charge.

Hope this helps.

That's awsome to hear seeing as how I just purchased a RCBS rock chucker supreme master reloading kit just last week. I'm new to reloading and I've heard nothing but great things about RCBS equipment. Looks like I heard right.

Yep. RCBS has outstanding customer service.

#1. Years ago I had bought a RBCS powder thrower (Uniflow). To my surprise it came with the large throwing chamber (rifle), I called them up and told them I only load for smaller cartridges, they sent a small throwing chamber in the mail for free.

#2. Broke (my fault, dropped it) the decapping pin on my die. They sent one out no charge.

I have my dads old RCBS Jr, and when I brought it home the primer catch tray was missing. I called and told them how I came to get the press and that my dad misplaced the tray and had no idea where it went. I offered to pay and asked if I could order one if possible. They told me there was no charge and took my name and addy. I had the new tray in less then a week.

They have replaced decapping pins, and polished a die for me too that were also admittedly the fault of the operator. They are a great company to deal with!

Great company. I recently was decapping/resizing some 308 brass that was fired out of a fluted chamber and even though I lubed it, the brass ripped the rim off.

I then took a big hammer and smacked the decapping rod (after removing the locking nuts) until it finally popped the stuck case out.

Bent the rod to snot.

I did that twice with 2 different 308 sizing dies. LOL

Called RCBS and asked them how much for the 308 decapping rod assembly and told them that I bent mine smacking a stuck case out of the die.

He asked for my address, I then asked "how much?" and he said it will be in the mail tomorrow.

I only received one but I don't think he understood that I broke 2 of the rods. LOL

I didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth so I went to a reloading store near me a few days later and bought another 308 decapping rod assembly for the 7 dollars. I figured 1 freebie is decent, don't abuse the privilege.

I have only had my rock chucker about 30 years.... it still works great... i have bent or broken the odd decapping pin... but they are cheap and always in stock at the local store... they build a great product....

My old green RCBS press from the early '70s is still the best press I own and I have several. Didn't know a thing when I bought it. Gunshop guy talked me into it and a Speer manual. Did me a huge favor.

It's never let me down and the feel it gives when seating primers has never been equaled by any other press I've used. In my experience, the compound leverage presses all suck when it comes to seating primers.

I literally just got off the phone with RCBS. I had broken the decapper in my 30-06 dies while removing a stuck case. I explained what happened and the RCBS rep asked for my name and address. I asked him how he wanted me to pay for it, and I was told not to worry it's under warranty and will be mailed today free of charge! Great company to deal with. Although my press and most of my equipment except for dies are from LEE, as I couldn't afford the RCBS starter kit, I will continue to buy my dies and other accessories from RCBS. You just can't beat their customer service, truly second to none. LEE isn't bad, but RCBS has still been better to me.

RCBS is great!!! CS second to none. I have a set of dies from 1981 I bought online for a gentleman... he said that they we "messed up" in his post... so, I figured for $10, what the heck... I bought them and looked them over, the decappeing rod was bent, the pin was gone, and the bushing that locked the rod in place was mangles (vice grips??)... anyway, I called RCBS to buy replacement parts... they told me they would be warranty replaced at no charge... asked for my addy, and three days later I was resizing .308 Winchester brass... I actually had my CC out...

I lost my little primer catch cup from my RCBS. I called to get a new one and told them that it was my fault, and that I was prepared to pay for it. They wouldn't take my money. Even the shipping was free!

Have nothing but good to say for RCBS. They always send me replacement parts from dies to press. They stand behind their product.
