A buddy fell on hard times and had to sell all of his guns. He asked me what he should keep. I did not have any money at the time to help him out, so I told him to keep his 20" Bushmaster AR and his Glock 19 9mm. Cheap to shoot, the G19 is concealable, and the AR works on two legged varmints and the four legged varmints up to deer sized game.

He got back on his feet, started his own business and is doing well. He asked me if I wanted to go shooting. We went to the range, and he showed up with his Glock and his Bushmaster. The results were amazing. He was shooting cake plate (6 inch) sized 5 shot groups standing at 50 yards with the Glock, and cake plate sized 5 shot groups at 300 yards prone with the AR. He could never shoot that good before. He just practiced over and over again with his two guns :).

Just my .02,

warp you can answer any way you fit. 44 and a 22 seem pretty rational to me. If its survival situation and all heck is going on that would have your bases pretty much covered.
