I was fine with the NATO length at first when I installed it one Spring.Heh, I ended up with the NATO stock on mine and it's just perfect for me. It also helps when a scope is mounted and eye relief is an issue.

Ran with it for about 6 months or so with no problems at all.
Then Winter came.
Once I put on my thick, heavy Winter coat to go out shooting, I noticed the longer NATO was giving me trouble trying to shoulder it while wearing bulky clothes.
Would probably still be just fine for somebody with longer arms than me though.

I agree on the looks, but you can make it look nice. Plus, the AK is a workhorse. Workhorses are rarely pretty lol.I thought about those, but....I'm not convinced I like the way AR type stocks look on an AK.
From a practical standpoint, it's not a bad idea at all though.
I dunno....
I was just trying to convince you that the AR style stock is a good option, especially if the rifle will be fired by more than one shooter. Modern rifles should fit you, not the other way around.OK....lol
I'm not bashing them.
But I am going to give this "intermediate" length stock a chance first since I just ordered it.....lol
