The boating thing

I agree with the OP. There are probably 500 new threads on THR every day. I post in maybe 10 of them. I ignore the rest because I just don't really care and have nothing to contribute. I don't go to the Revolver forum just to rant about my fondness of polymer auto loaders. Since I have nothing to add, I choose not to even read the threads. So if you find a thread that you don't see yourself as contributing to....don't post.

The boating accident thing doesn't bother me that much, yes it is old but thats ust part of it. I will say this much about it, if and when someone decides to come and take your guns they aren't going to go away simply because you told them you had a trajic boating accident. If you believe that let me tell you about a bridge over the Ohio river I have for sale.

Other than my wife, there is no need for anyone other than myself to know how many I have and she doesn't know about all of them. That being said if you don't have something constructive to add to the thread simply stay out of it.

IMHO if we take ALL the fun out of the forum it will end up like.....well......WORK.
Life is short, so be sure to laugh everyday.

I won't mention the other forum I used to frequent regularly, but I don't post there much anymore because the humor left.

God help us

I was out on the lake today and I had this “tragic... uh... oh, well....

My storage shed “tragically burned” down to the ground today and all my guns were in it. Ya know how all them guns is made of plastic nowadays, don’tcha? Well, they all melted, even the barrels.

Its like watching TV, if whats on annoys you get up and change the channel. Complaining about the content and banning this and that does no good.

If there is a post about there boat and it annoys you soooooo much, don't read it!

Lets move on.

there was a time you would have gone into a lot of troubles for such a statement

Really? Aren't those things just side thrusters?:)

No problem. Those are being used by trained sailors. But, I'll tell ya, if I ever was to own a privateer, those would be the kind of cannons I'd want on it.

I must be the only person who still get a chuckle out of it even having seen it a few thousand times. Yea, it's a tired old joke, but it's a familiar one. I've never thought of it as "none of your business" but as just a gentle poke between friends. A wink and nod go along with it. About like "Whatchaupto?"...."OH, 'bout six foot or so."

"Shotty" and "Remmie" grate on my nerves a LOT more. :D :neener:
