I am sure this not a unique idea but I know many of us have dream guns that we dont own, probably dont plan to own but sure would love to. Some of us make this decision because that particular gun is too expensive, others because we just dont see a use for owning one. Probably the most unique excuse I have heard is that when my boss got married his wife instituted a one gun per child rule. She gets a kid, he gets a gun. Needless to say his purchase rate has gone down.

For me, I have two dream guns. The first of which is a full auto M60, dont really have a use for it (I dont live in THAT bad of an area) also prices and storage would become an issue. The second gun that I dont yet own but have dreamed of would be a Ruger Alaskan in .454C. I have shot this gun many times but seriously after even 10rounds your starting to feel it. Also I dont really see it as a practice weapon for CCW.

Full Size Glock .45 with a single stack magazine (and smaller grip size to fit my hands) and quality aftermarket sights.

Since I like to keep things realistic(no way am I ever going to be able to afford an NFA piece)I would say my 'dream gun' is either a Lee-Metford or a Long Lee Enfield. After that would be a WWI-era SMLE with original volley sights, mag cut-off, windage adjustable rear sight, and brass unit disc. If I put my mind(and paychecks) towards either of the above I might actually be able to afford one(unlike NFA firearms).

I want a Winchester Lever Action in just about any calibre and I want a Clint Eastwood pistol like the one he carried in his westerns.

Beretta's M93R machine pistol. No way in hell am I going to get my hands on the real thing as there's only 10 of them in the States. I settled for the airsoft version. Sure it doesn't have the authority of the real thing, but it's a Hoot to Shoot:D

John Wayne Winchester

Back around 1982, give or take a year, I would shoot at a local gun range almost every Friday night. Hanging up on the wall was a BEAUTIFUL John Wayne Commemorative Winchester carbine. All decked out, engraved, big ol' hoop lever. I would look at it every time I was in there. Too damn cheap to break loose with the coin to take it home...

...another of life's regrets. :(

I have several, but the top of the list would be an M3 Grease Gun with integral suppressor, a pile of magazines, and many many cans of .45 ACP ammo. Maybe a 9mm conversion kit for it too.

M1 Garand

Always wanted one, still do. Just never gotten around to getting one.

a DECENT current or pre-war drilling. german, austrian doesn't matter, calibers don't matter. will sell my soul to own one..........

Custom Shiloh Sharps .45 caliber cartridge rifle like what Tom Selleck used in "Quigley Down Under".

For a while, a Titanium Gold Desert Eagle. In .357, just to have more shots before stopping to reload.

Lately? An ASP 9mm.

If a genie came out of my laptop right now and told me to pick one, it would be the ASP. I guess since there's less money and a lot less LUCK involved in getting the Desert Eagle! :(

AK-47 in full-auto. :)

I also wish someone would develop an "Assault Rifle" in 8mm Mauser. Like a G3 style, 20-30rd. mag. and definately wood furniture. I'd probably break my shoulder shooting it, but oh well!

A full-auto 1928AC (slower-firing "Chicago piano") Thompson crafted on ACCURATELY-PROGRAMMED CNC machines using modern alloys like titanium and stainless, with some degree of interchangeable parts to go from .50GI to .45Super/ACP and 10mm. And RELIABLE drums to feed it for all these calibers, in proper 50 and 100 capacities, expanding the drums as necessary for the .50. Come on, what's not to love about a .50-caliber Tommy gun? *imagining Brady Bunch's bedwetting now*

And a purpose-built alternate horizontal forend with built-in SureFire high-power taclight and laser.

Well as long as we are dreaming, might as well think big...........

make mine a Ma Deuce!!!! :what:

An original 1911A1 US GI, With the wide spur hammer either Rem-Rand or Colt.

A Custom Straight stock Marlin 1894 in 41 Mag with a 18" round barrel, Rifle type fore-end, half mag tube for 5+1, with a no ramp Lyman globe front sight and Marble's tang rear.
