NRA American Rifleman December 2018 " A 95-gr bullet moving at more than 2000f.p.s; isn't news---- unless it,s fired from a handgun. The new beautifully machined FK Bmo Field Pistol and its 7.5x27 mm cartridge push the design and performance envelope. We'll warn you, though, it's spendy."
MRSP $7,500"

Interesting article!

For north of $7000 it should be integrally suppressed, hey?
Nah, it should just be a perfectly built pistol with extreme accuracy, an awesome design, the best materials, and incredible fit and finish. A kick ass cartridge doesn’t hurt either. :)

In today’s world of cast parts (many being MIM), plastic frames, and mass produced handguns, it’s great to see a company actually build something to this level.

For what it’s worth, many of the high end guns from years past that are built to this level bring the same or more money on the used market.

When I was reading the magazine article, I honest-to-God thought; "I bet Bac from GT has one of these..."

Turns out I was correct... :D

Yeah I hear that argument all the time. I guess that will help the hordes and hordes of people trying to decide between an FK BRNO and a Glock. Tough decision, I know ;)

Personally I bought the gun for the gun. The round was just an added bonus.

I own several Glocks. I consider them useful tools, not awesome guns. I don’t care what barrel you stick in there. It’s still a Glock.

While we've got a thread going on about it, and someone who isn't advertising it... What's the locking system? Is it some sort of hybrid delayed blowback thing, or a more "normal" Browning-type tilting breech?

I get the argument. It's like trying to convince someone why a Bentley is a better car than a Camry. The Camry is cheaper, more reliable, and gets better gas mileage. But it's still a Camry...

Locked breech, just like a CZ 75.

Barrel tilts slightly

Yeah, I really have no use for the round's ballistics. I don't hunt and I don't generally shoot long range with handguns (even though I plan to do some 100 yard shooting with this).

I simply love extremely well built, accurate handguns. The BRNO fits the bill. I fully realize it isn't for everyone and very few will justify the price, whether they can afford it or not. However, it is a very nice pistol.

The gun is beautiful, and unique so I understand the desire

but the Camry doesn’t perform like a Bentley. This performs the same which is the “draw of the cartridge and gun”. Still I do understand why someone would want one. Even I still want one though I think it can be done more practically it’s a beautiful gun. My issue was they were advertising the 7.5fk like they had an engineering breakthrough reaching 2000fps when it’s been done.

I’ll happily take you’re FK Brno though

Yeah I hear you.

The Dillon round will perform like the 7.5 FK round. The gun will not. Similar to a Bentley and Camry

Although I'll more than likely never be able to afford pistols like these, I'm grateful that you share your experiences with them bc1023.

The only thing I noticed is that they are using roll pins. I figured for a handgun in that price range a solid pin would be nice.

While I believe it would be interesting/entertaining to handle and fire the subject pistol one time, I'd refrain from the prospect of ownership. Cost and application would be considerations. I'm talking from the perspective of employing a S&W Shield 9mm for EDC. Thus I'm probably an individual of limited horizons compared to the more adventurous among us but that's the reality of it.
