I also have a PC Carbine and decided that it’s good enough for me. I like the looks of the S&W, but I really don’t need one. The Ruger has never let me down.I like my Ruger PCC. It's fun on the range and I take it hiking. Highly unlikely I would have trouble, but I have seen Wolves twice. More punch than a .22 for sure.View attachment 1195539
My Son and I have gone to Canada every year for 26 years, only missed two years because of COVID. When we went to an Outpost camp Bears were a nuisance. I took a 12 Gauge Pump shotgun and a M-1 Garand along just in case. The owner finally sold the place so we went to a regular camp. Anyway, are Garand's still allowed up there? You never know if we'll do a wilderness camp again. It cost me $30.00 for the permit and it was no hassle at all. Never shot anything, but used Bear Spray twice and it worked as advertised! Plenty of Hunter's and rifles up there, handguns are a big NO! To bring with. Love ot up there! Most people in the US don't have a clue about Canada.
