I agree with PabloJ...not enough of an improvement IMO to drop the tried and true conventional style pump or semiauto.

Just my .02,

i'm with the above two...

i was intrigued at first, but my 870p is still, and likely always will be my go to shotgun.

They are all so expensive and unavailable that it doesn't even matter. How about that?

You'd be better off with a Remington 870P or a Mossberg 590A1. You could go out and buy one this afternoon, and a closet full of ammo with the money you'd save.

But that's boring.

If I were interested in expensive and unavailable tactical semiautomatic shotguns, I'd just wait for the Vepr-12.

Having trouble with my 930. In the shop right now. Armorer says he is putting on an new friction bushing(like Brownings have). My go to tactical is the old tried and true 500 pump Mossberg. Picked up a Maverick last week(pistol grip style) but it is hard to hold on to with heavy loads. IMO, nothing like a pump for dependability.

I'll echo the question of "Why not a Saiga 12?" if you're looking for a less conventional so-called tactical shotgun.

They're already proven to be reliable, and magazines matching or exceeding the capacities of the three shotguns listed in the OP are readily available. The use of conventional rifle type detachable box magazines also eliminates rotating tubes or flipping a tube selector switch to access the full capacity of the shotgun. Reloads are obviously faster as well.

Last the S12 already has a huge aftermarket parts base. There's everything from useful accessories to dress up add-ons.

IMHO I'd buy a Benelli M4 as my tactical shotgun. Handles great, feeds well and is an awesome weapon. Having said that, I can only afford a Rem 870. Added a pistol grip, tactical side saddle, one point sling and will add LPA sights.

Good luck!

Jeff

We have been shipping out a few UTAS 12 since early August and so far they are a cool gun but the Saiga 12 is a great gun , semi auto and had tons of mags and accessories available.
