The Next Glock ? (poll)

I purchased a Glock 20 gen5 a few months ago and I like it. So I was contemplating about buying another Glock for carry/range fun. I like the gen 5 models because; they have an ambidextrous slide release, a reversible magazine release, and don't have the finger groves like the gen4 models.

I have a micro compact 9mm.
I currently don't have a 40s&w.
I will probably buy a gen5 Glock 29 when they are available.

I think there is room in Glock's catalogue for a single stack .40SW. Something just a tad bigger all over than a 43 BUT NOT the size of a 23.

I have a G20 as mentioned in the OP. Maybe when a gen 5 G40 comes out after the G29.

Never really cared all that much for the G17, G19, or G26, but I positively like the G43X and the G48. Finally found two Glocks that feel great in my hand and both have pretty decent triggers and sights.

Based on what you currently have, the straight forward choice is a G19. Particularly for a non-reloader such as yourself. You already have a subcompact 9mm, and a full sized 10mm, the G19 sits well between them and in a cartridge you already own but with a higher capacity and longer barrel for more velocity.

But the gen 5 G23 would fit nicely too. And at some point you may be able to buy a .357SIG conversion barrel, and enjoy that cartridge too. Though I do quite like the .40S&W in 155gr and 165gr loadings. It's thoroughly capable.

I voted Different Glock. A Glock in 45 Auto like a 21SF would be nice. But I'm not sure they make a G21 Gen 5 threaded barrel. I can find Gen 3 ones but not Gen 5. I have a 1911 so I'm a bit biased but suppressed 45 is supposed to be a blast (or lack thereof). We should be getting a SilencerCo Hybrid 46M soon to test out.

I think the G21 gen5 would be a little hard to conceal/carry. I like 45acp and have a XDM compact in the cartridge.

Ahh I didn't get you were wanting a carry size gun, sorry. so maybe a Glock 43x with a shield arms 15rd mag? 15rds of 147gr HST would be good medicine.
