The one enduring 38 snubby

Earl,
That model 60 looks almost identical to my model 36 I purchased years ago. It has been customized and, although some purists will gasp, I believe it made it almost perfect. It has had a trigger job, bobbed hammer, the trigger and hammer are jeweled, and the whole gun refinished in satin nickle. It had a pachmar rubber grip but I went back to the original wood grips and added a Tyler "T" grip same as yours. They almost look like twins.

I'm looking at getting a snub in .357 to match my 4" model 66. The 36 will then go to my son.

Another good reason for the Full Shroud of the Centennial style is for pocket carry it keeps lint outta the hammer mechanism. I love my 442, and have been through several Tactical Handgun classes with it against many 1911's (etc.) with great results.
The excellent hand fit (with stock grips OR aftermarket) and "natural point" of the 442 ended up outshooting most of the full frame autos at the classes. The only area that the 442 didn't outshine was the steelplate knockdown (often required 2 rapid shots).
But the reliability, and natural accuracy have been great!!!

So, now I'm going to sell/trade my Springfield 1911Champion .45 for a .357 Jframe. (PM me, if interested). I'll give the 442 to the wife, and standardize on Jframes. (same holsters, share .38 ammo, same feel, etc.) I'll probably get a CTrace laser for the NEW Jframe.

Or just about anything like it. I may also look into an old Ruger.
