The Pistol Powder Shortage Seems to Be Over

There is powder available here in Southern Oklahoma, especially Alliant powders. Some of you have commented about price ranges of $25-$30 as being expensive. I think that will be the norm going forward. If the market will pay $30/lb, that's where the price point will be. That's still 700-1400 rounds to be reloaded and shot. Concentrate on the positive end.

Been seeing 1# jugs of w231 showing on gunbot once a week or so for the last month. With hazmat its still too rich for my blood, waiting to see a 4# jug to show so I can get 8lbs and be back in my comfort zone for that powder.

Also picked up a 4# jug of power pistol at my LGS last week.

Now If trail boss will just show its face!!!!

I need to sneak out and go on another powder hunt, then. Aways an adventure prowling around looking for reloading stuff. You never know what you might find.

I found an honest to goodness lead wheel weight in a parking lot the other day! Only need about 9,994 more to get a good start.

My go-to powder has always been Hodgdon Universal, but it's been non-existent for the last year, at least here in southern Oklahoma. Just picked up a couple pounds at my local gun shop at noon today!! $24.99 per pound.

Still dry here on the N. side of the DFW Metromess. Nothing at BPS, Cabela's, or Gander Mtn. Local gun shop has not had powder for about 18mo. and doesn't know when he will.

Glad you guys are finding some. Just wish the distributors would share the wealth!

Nashville shop yesterday had a good selection but not of what I wanted. Varget in 1lb but not in jugs. No Bullseye, Blue Dot or 2400. Primers still close to 30 a K.

Oh, Ive said all along we're going to eventually see the "Glut of all Gluts" soon enough. Have to. Aint no way to avoid it IMO. Unless absolutely zero manufacturers added capacity during this.

I got finally got lucky, got two lbs of tightgroup and HS6 last week, this pass weekend I went to the LGS and found hp38 grab two lbs. he had another 23 lbs on the shelf. I been looking for months, looks like things are looking up. Now I just need to wait for spring to go to the range.

Better here in N. Alabama, Picked up Unique, 231, Hp38 and Titegroup in last 2 weeks. They had a lot of WSF and WST also. No CFE pistol yet. Even had PB. Rifle powders are plentiful

Shooters Warehouse in Cullam had several cases of CFE pistol two weeks ago when I was in there. I have seen about everything I need recently except 2400.

12 pounds just showed up at my door today. After shipping and hazmat, it worked out to about 21 bucks per pound.
