I think that you will find that rifle to shoot much more consistently if you lower the scope.
I like the EGW bases and I really like the Burris Signature Zee rings, but the combination together places the scope too high above the bore of the rifle and too high to get a consistent cheek weld shooting it. Combine that with the relatively unforgiving eyebox on the E4200 6-24x40 (still a nice scope, I have 2) and shooting it well becomes a pain. If you want to stick with the base, I would consider switching to low rings of some flavor. If you want to stick with the rings, the 2-pc Burris Weaver style bases make for a good combo with the medium height Sig Zee rings with that scope speaking from experience.
