The scare...

Gone down? LOL

Obama was making comments on reinstating the AWB just last month..... and Biden was again reinforcing the AWB comments in FL with a group of Anti's.

What reasons would there be to short sell your black rifles for cheap?

There are defeatists who push the coming of the ban like Al Gore pushes global warming. I think being vigilant of purposed legislation is a good thing, but feeding the rumor mill helps no one on our side. Obama's had the AWB stance on his website since the primaries were over. He has to be aware that he did not have 49% of the popular vote and right now would be a bad time to give them the finger legislation wise. My guess is anything too drastic might jeopardize his chances of pulling swing voters over for his second bid in 4 years. Nothing matters more to a party then maintaining dominance.

This being said I think the scare is fed by:

1. People who are genuinely freaked out
2. People who are worried prices won't come down
3. Dealers
4 People who overpaid and want to reassure themselves that they did the right thing.

Marlboro, MA. Best Western Royal Plaza Trade Center
todays gunshow prices, how ever MA is a rather independent market and may not reflect your prices

only stripped lower i saw was 190$
Colt AR's were running 1700+ used
one dealer had a new WASR10 for 700!
Privi 5.56 ammo was up 15% from last time i went ( October)
Preban (only kind we can have in MA) AK and AR mags were 20$ each, up 5$ since last time
pistol mags were high, but still some decent priced stuff.

the place was PACKED. unbearably hot in there. about 20-25 degrees outside. probibly 60+ inside ( keep in mind everyones wearing jackets from the long walk from the parking lot, since you couldn't find a spot anywhere near the building). and i didn't feel any heaters, seemed to be just body heat and lights.

lots of fondling, and some buying. certainly more than last time, but no long lines to fill out 4473's
