Well, I was just downstairs in my gun room putting some ammo away when I took a good look at my 1959 mint Romanian SKS hanging up and started to think. For a gun as beautiful(IMO) and historical as this, there are no places to share the pictures and stories of this widely owned firearm on THR. Sure there are many threads talking about them, but no dedicated club.

Anyways, here are the rules.....

-Anyone that is interested is welcome, SKS owner or not.
-Any variant including Russian, Romanian, Yugo, Chinese, Albanian, etc. Any model year.
-Try to post pictures if possible
-How do you like it?

If you are new to firearms and don't know what an SKS is, here ya go...

I've currently got a couple and have had a pile. 20 years ago, I had to sift thru a case of them before I could ever find one that shoot really tight groups. That one has been a keeper. The second one is a recent pickup I haven't even shot.

I'm in....

Norinco SKS's One is a 1975 the other is earlier I believe, from serial numbers/internet.
