You see back then bluing (sometime called browning) was done using heat, not some kind of worthless chemicals, and that’s why they called it “charcoal blue.” I was afraid they’d next to melt them cylinders. Unfortunately soon after the first run of what are now called 1st model Dragoons were made, Sam ignored my good advise and started bluing cylinders.
