As stated ealier, I think the name boomstick would be fitting too...........:D

If you build another do it in 10 gauge and have an underslung AR;)
It should really be suppressed too.

if you could do it with a T/C style breech plug to make it a muzzle loader it would be UK legal:evil:

First post

Looks like as good a places any for it.

Can't believe you guys have missed it. The Accessory this needs is a Cup Holder! .....and don't forget the bottle openner!

As a name, how about "Short Round" or "Danger Close"? What, you already figured out I am an Ex Red Leg?

How about "Fragzilla"?

Neat stuff I am seeing around here. Hope I won't step on any toes and that you guys can put up with my spelling and typos.

As a former FISTer and grunt, I'm really digging "Danger Close." Good idea, brother.

Welcome to THR. Army or Marine Red Leg? (Army here.)

Response to OEF VET

US Army. First time dirty leg Infantry Enlisted then after my GI bill paid education tried it again as a Field Artillery Cannon Battery Awful-Sir.

I served both times in Operation "How much German beer can we drink?"

I like your logo with "X-Caliber" rising from the lake.

I do not care how ridiculous it is, I want one. You people living in free states do not know how good you have got it. Shillinois is a place I intend to leave with in the next two years if possible.

LoadedDrum, lots of room for gun people here in AZ. BTW, if you bought one of those, you could LEGALLY carry it concealed here on your Shall Issue AZ CCW permit. Also, you can get your AZ permit now, even as a non resident.
Did I mention no AWB, magazine ban, licensing, registration? Permitless open carry, or shall issue CCW permit? No waiting period, FOID, ammo restrictions, or Chicago machine? Many public and private ranges, too.
OK, sorry, commercial over.:)

Honestly, I've pretty much taken to calling it "The Beast", as I think that sums it up fairly well.

I took it with me to class yesterday (Carry Permit class), and myself and the sales guys at the shop, as well as several customers and students, took it out for a few dozen tries. It's a pussy-cat with Aquila mini's. Although, if you shoot it one-handed, like a pistol, it will get the web of your hand a bit. I have a small nick there from the PG pinching me during recoil.

Everyone loved it, especially those who fired it! :D It may not be sensible or useful, but it sure as heck is fun! I guess that's purpose enough to justify it's existence. lol

(BTW, I never thought THIS thread would go so long. 4 pages. so far.....)

Are you charged $200 tax to make it, or is that transfers only, not tax on the original maker? (if paying the SOT yearly)

Either way, you've inspired me to want one of those one day. :D

Since I've paid the annual SOT, I do not have to pay $200 each time I manufacture an NFA weapon. I do pay a small Federal Excise Tax (FET), each time I build a firearm, regardless of whether or not it's an NFA weapon.

Hi All

Here is one you can make without paperwork.

19" barrell 27" long overall

I cut it down tonight. Just need to mount a sight.

Yeah, but cramming your hand into your shoulder to fire probably isn't too comfy!

On an upside, you're getting better velocity out of that, that's for sure.

Well I had the privlidge of shooting the Ultimate Silly Shotgun today and let me say it is just about the cutest most fun shotgun I have ever shot. Recoil is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be except with those 3 inch slugs which also have a hellacious muzzle flash. It also made an awesome LOUD BLOOP sound on firing. All in all the gun itself would make a nice small aircraft survival gun.

I personally found this little sucker a blast and great fun to shoot.

Chris

Hi All

I took my little 410 out today

Recoil not bad at all. Like maybe a 357 mag.

Shot the following:

00 Buckshot
3" #4 load
#6 load
slugs

Real fun to shoot.

On a man size target (there were some already hanging up and who am I to waste) at 20 yards I can completely cover the face and the area around it with bird shot

00 buck will do nice at that range too

Shot from the hip good as well.

Oh well just sharing

I showed my 18 yo son, Pete, and all he said was "That'll hurt!"
As cslinger said, it really doesn't. Or maybe it does, I dunno--I was having so much fun I didn't notice. This is the kind of gun that makes you realize why we shoot. It has nearly no practical use, so you don't feel guilty about not using it for something practical--all it does is put a smile on your face.

Yeah, I want one. :D

Well, since it's short and loud, how about "Joe Pesci"?

I can see it now...

Engraved portrait of Joe on one side, with the words "What? Do I amuse you?" on the other.

Seriously, though... Mount a Knoxx recoil-reducing stock on it, and I'd buy one. If I had the spare funds, that is. The way things stand now, I'd have to win it in a raffle...
