What no choke tube?

It's what we call a VERY open choke, especially at anything beyond 1 foot.

As for the shell holder, ATI makes one for these style stocks. I'm going to pick one up at the next gunshow. I'm thinking I'll fill it with Aquila minis, five facing down, and five facing up.

I can't believe anyone hasn't suggested this - you are licensed to manufacture NFA items.

That puppy needs an underbarrel grenade launcher. :D

Tactical Ninja,

Destructive Devices are covered by another type of FFL, and it costs quite a bit more to become licensed to build them. Any other type of NFA weapon, I can do: MG's, SBR's, SBS's, AOW's, suppressors; but not DD's.

Although, I am entertaining the thought of purchasing an LMT M-203 sometime in the not-so-distant future.

man, a Knox specops or something to soak up the recoil, or maybe just a big daddy recoil pad, and ghost rings, that might make a handy slug gun, except for the whole single shot thing, but still....

Hmm... interesting. If you'd painted it orange, it could be mistaken for an elaborate marine flare gun (*ahem..cough...*)

It would be if it were orange digital urban camo - perfect for those raids on Home Depot!

I know DDs are a separate class of device, but I figured they were covered under the NFA umbrella. Sorry. :)

No need to apologize. One of the reasons I love being an FFL/SOT is it gives me the opportunity to educate folks about the crazy intricacies of NFA 34.

Oh boy. a name hrm?

"The Impractical Tactical Wonder" (kinda like the way it rhymes and flows)

"Black and Blued" (both because of what it does, and the combination of black stock, and blued steel)

And just for the sake of irony:
"The Pelosi"

Hm...

Is the Barret Light series classified under the Assault Weapons label?

If not, mount a freakin' 20mm launcher on that sucker Ala` the Defunct OICW.

You know, for the odd Panzer IV that rolls through the neighborhood.

I've been sitting reading this thread and giggling the last 5 minutes. Silly as it is, that's way too cool! Too bad you have to pay such exorbitant taxes to be able to do it though. Why'd you do the SOT thing, anyway? Just for the hell of it?

Snap,

I build suppressors and other NFA weapons for a living. Plus, I sell Surefire, Tactical Tailor, YHM, and several other companies products. I'm also a wholesaler for DoubleStar Arms / J&T Distributing.

The silly little SBS was a "just because I'm bored" project.

Oh. Sounds like a good way to make a living to me. If I ever get the money for the NFA toys, I'll have to drop you a line.

I've gotta say that I've seen a few singles over the years that have been modified.

I recall one 10 gauge that had the barrel chopped to 18", painted camo and with a shell holder on the sling. Shop selling it said it had been fired once.

Another was a 20 gauge with a skeletonized stock and plum brown finish. Had a belt hook like 18th Century pistols also.

Another had been Parkerized. With some stock work and load development it was a fair to middlin' turkey gun.

But those mods were designed for some sort of utility. This just is....

Pfffft, you guys are amateurs. If you want to kit out your weapons with uber-1337 taktikal Ninj4 gear, you need to talk to me.

Now you need a tac light, laser sight, vertical foregrip, sidesaddle, and a flash supressor. Hey, its already impractial, might as well make it severly tacticool.:neener:
