This is what will happen. The Dems will pull support from the War in Iraq. They will attempt to pass AWBII. If they blow it before the 2008 election, the conservatives might get lucky and take the House and Senate back, but it is unlikely. The pullout from the Middle East will be interpreted by the terrorists as a withdrawal and therefore a defeat of the U.S. and victory for them. This will in turn embolden them further and since they will have no targets close to home, they will launch massive attacks on the US homeland, killing more in one day than in 4 years of the Iraq war. The Dem President will then declare martial law due to the national emergency and push through a comprehensive and draconian weapons ban complete with confiscation (KrystalNacht). The martial law will also prevent further elections. The end of the United States as we know it. Obviously, once they get control of the House ,Senate and White House, they will take whatever action necessary to insure that they don't lose it, and they have no qualms about breaking the law to do it. They are Nazis, plain and simple.

Okay - Now, what do we do? Several days of this and I've yet to see solidarity among we gun owners. Is there a plan other than just voting "pro-gun"? Are we to just roll over and show our tender underbelly and allow these people to take away our rights one slice at a time. And yes, I know we've done just that for years, but are we to keep to this pace?

So, what ideas do you have to bring us all together. A solid front can be extremely unyielding.

A suggestion that I've made to a few is to have a stickied thread in this forum, which will be used to organize support, design strategies, figure out how to win people over, etc.

Like all six-page threads, this one has more than one subject, now.

So: Review the thread. Start anew, e.g., pick whether you think there are pro-gun Democrats and show some names, based on past voting.

As for any anti-gun bills, why not wait until they're inttroduced? All we're doing now is speculating, which is pretty much a waste of time and bandwidth...
