Theres been an extensive thread on this already. If only SA would sell parts...

Hey I didn't know about this, thanks for posting N.W.D.- I'm not even generally a fan of X.D.'s but I can't stop staring L.O.L. Wonder what the width on it is?

Is it just me or does the grip angle/geometry now look just like a CZ-75?

If so that'd be great as the 75 fits my hand like it was made for me!

(I bet with 16+1 rounds in the mag it's just a little HEAVY but I wouldn't mind!)

you can get parts. i am quite excited about this one and tell you the truth that if i didn't already have 2 xd .40 models, and all the mags to go with them then i would be all over this one, and heck i might even get one anyway it is a xd what more could you want?

You have to send the gun back to SA for repair work. That's one thing I don't like about SA and the XD. Some one correct me if they have since changed their policy.

By the way they are already on gunbroker. They are going for the laughable price of $700+. I assume these are just for the pre release guns SA has sent some dealers, and they're price gouging for the "I had it first" crowd. I suspect after the actual release later this month, they'll be about $500 or so.

Could they make it any more gimmicky and sci fi packed? No probably not......Well Ray Charles must have designed this thing prior to his passing.

Just figured out why I like it. I was just thinking how sci-fi my 34 looks, with the hole in the slide and a red F.O. on black- I think I'm a sucker for gimmicks! L.O.L. But this makes me want to give .40sw another try. Anyone know the width on these?

*No need to pull the trigger during assembly.

Maybe they meant disassembly....but that is splitting hairs.

I like it, for a plastic gun. The grip kinda looks like the P22 grip at first glance. I just might consider one in 9mm to go with my 40 v-10 I have now.

osteodoc08

How do you like your V10, I just recently noticed this XD am thinking I might want one.

Does the porting reduce recoil noticeably and what is the price difference?

Thanks-Dan

I handled a XDm today. It feels about the same as my XD9 I bought in 06 does. The trigger may be alil smoother, but not smooth enough at $750.

NOTICE to Tom Gresham:
I hate you. If I didn't listen to your show last week I would not have not about this gun until AFTER it was too late. I went looking for another 1911, had everything planned, I was in my third gun shop of the day when I asked the same parting question as I did the other two: "Do you know when you might have one of the new XDm pistols in?" I got the unexpected response of "Right over here." I looked it over, squeezed the trigger, fell in love, filled out the 4473, handed my DL and CHL to the dealer (got a smile as he didn't have to call NICS), got my licenses back gave him the cash, and took my new XD home.

While getting into my pickup my smart phone vibrated, I checked it and noticed a new email regarding the videos on guntalk.tv Thanks to you my plan to buy another 1911 got delayed.

Thank you, and my purchase cost just over $615 taxes and all.

My new XDm

Now, now. You must understand.

It's my lot in life to be an enabler. My wife warns the wives of couples we meet that knowing me will cost them lots of money. Guns, boats, airplanes, etc.

She's right.

At least it gives me something to do with my life.

Glad you found one. I wasn't sure about the looks, but I really like the feel and the way it shoots.
