Well, not really a "sheriff's model", but she's a short barreled gal! :)

Picked this up yesterday, Uberti "El Patron CMS" 3.5" .45 Colt.

Can't wait to get to the range, it is by far the smoothest out-of-the-box action I've ever had on a new Uberti. Not sure what all they do to these above what a regular Uberti gets, but they did it right, whatever it was!

Sweet! The overall size kind of reminds me of Rugers SASS model, especially with the hammer. One of the first single action revolovers I ever had was a short barreled Sheriffs (or more properly named the less glamourous sounding Shopkeepers), model. I just liked the look of it.

I'm curious to see how much difference it is to shoot over other SA's. I've never had one with a barrel under 4 5/8.

Like BCCL the shortest barrel I have is a 4 5/8. Would like to see a range report. I do not need another SA but this one starts me to thinking again.

My 4 inch shoots fine, I doubt 1/2 inch will make any difference shooting. That's a nice piece, it looks better with the shorter barrel.

I picked up a Beretta Stampede 5 1/2" 45 Colt last year, and I love it. Shoots great, very accurate.
