Ive got many carry guns, but none that I like as much as these Colts. I got paranoid for a while and bought 3 different Kel-Tecs (that I have nothing against), but I miss carrying the Colts. Ill move these back into the rotation for a while. Nickel Cobra, Magnum Carry, Pocket 9.
Thank you guys, I am really fond of Colts. The Cobra carries the easiest because of the wood grips. I have plans on changing the grips on the Pocket9 to wood, but I havnt gotten around to it. I think it will be much easier to draw with the wood. I just thought I would share these with you guys because Im just now getting back into them. When I went and changed over to Kel-Tec to protect these little fellas, I forgot how fun they were to shoot and carry. Kevin.
....think that Colt made a BIG mistake by discontinuing the pocket nine? Any idea as to why they did that? Seems like an ideal concept - mousegun scale but big enough to shoot a 9mm handily.
Thank you fellas for the kind words. I do like my Colts....alot!! Hunter......you have some very nice ones too!! I love that 'New Agent'. My dealer called today and said he has one in for me, but I dont know if I can justify the cost. I already have a Defender. Shootist.......I think Colt stopped making the Pocket9 because of a possibe law suit from Kahr, stating copyright infringment. I think it had something to do with the offset lug. But I could be wrong. I really think they are missing out on some of the market. They could easily be selling their Pocket9, Mustang, Magnum Carry, Detective Special, but what do I know?
Thank you ak-kev. I have a few more pictures of Colts I carry.
I have carried the Special Combat Government and the Gold Cup National Match Commander a few times but I do prefer my Gold Cup Trophy over the rest for an all around duty pistol.
The New Agent is a great pistol and I believe you may need to take a look at the one your dealer has.
I've always wondered about picking up a Pocket Nine--but damn they are expensive. Nice Colts! Took me several years to get a Magnum Carry and it's one of my favorites.
