S&W has their 3913/908 9mms. Very slim, 3 1/2 inch barrel, 8 round single stack magazine. The 3913 is stainless, the 908 is the value line model, alloy frame/blued slide, single rather than ambidexterous safety, polymer front and rear sights, polymer recoil spring. There's also a stainless 908S. The regular 908 is my current carry gun of choice if not one of my smith snubbie revolver.
There's also the Chief Special with a 3" barrel, 7 round mags, and only in stainless. They may or may not be hard to find and I'd have bought one except for the price ($500+. I got my barely used in the box 908 for $370 out the door) and the very short barrel had me worried about function. Also a model in .45 ACP. Everything I've read said they work well.
