I have a Ruger Mk II stainless with the tapered barrel. One of the first guns I bought. It has fixed sights which has always been an irritation.
I have a MkII blued target model that I like but it doesn't have provisions for mounting a scope which I'd like to play with to see if it would help my shooting. My eye sight is not as sharp as it was.
The bull barreled 22/45 has intrigued me. I have thoughts of buying one based on it having the 1911 grip angle, the mag release in the right place and I could mount a scope on it.
One thought has me shooting it with the irons.
Another one mounting a scope and moving that rear sight to my taper barrel MK II and making a taller front sight to finally get that gun right.
Would it be that silly to buy my third ruger .22 autoloader based on what I'm thinking?
I have my first owned 1911 .45 on the way. A rf that I can practice with is what got this idea of buying yet another Ruger Autoloader started.
Thanks,
