I have a CZ 75B and a 1911. I also own a 686 revolver. I thought about
getting a pistol in 40 as well, but thought better of it.
Like others have said, I have the big old 45 ACP for stopping power and
9mm is for higher mag capacity. To me, 40 is neither here nor there.
And, one more consideration for me is that a 40 S&W round looks way too
similar to 45 ACP. For example, during a 4 day training class those of us
who were shooting 45 ACP would pick up rounds we dropped and pick up
40 S&W rounds by mistake. Then we would have a malfunction from hell.
Nope, I'm a 357 mag, 45 ACP and 9mm man, and 40 S&W costs almost as
much as 45 ACP :banghead: Not for me. To a 45ACP man, 40 S&W is
an answer to a question that nobody asked.
