Never thought I'd consider selling my AK but have Dr. appt on Wed. and might need surgery, am self pay, no insurance, might need to liquidate some of the toys. So, am wondering what the AK and ammo is worth?

InterOrdnance US made AK. Some people have a poor opinion of I.O. Inc but this gun has been 100% reliable and fit/finish is good. US-made receiver and barrel. Tapco furniture and sling.
2-30 round steel mags, 3-20 round hungarian tanker mags, 1-Tapco 10 round and 1-5 round mag.
Plus I have between 1450 and 1500 rounds of 7.62x39. At current pricing, what could I get for it ??

750$ range, with a look around the internet, accessories will get that boosted a bit.

If you NEED surgery, sell it. If you dont have your health, your AK is useless.

I found an IO AK NIB on Gunbroker that has a current bid of $730 on it. I think with the addition of the magazines and especially the ammo, you should be able to get at least $1000 for everything in todays market.

Hoping everything goes well with your surgery.

I would put it on gunbroker, that would get the best price. I'm not affiliated with them in any way but type in AR or AK and people are bidding the hell out of them. I'd guess 1300+ on there or 900-1000 locally.

If you don't want to sell it then don't. Discuss a payment schedule with your healthcare providers. You don't have to mention anything about selling off assets to them. If they won't budge on payments then consider liquidating some items. Best of luck to you.

I buddy of mine just sold his IO AK for $1450 a few days ago on armslist locally. It had several mags but no ammo.

I noticed on the local armslist there is another one up for sale for quite A bit. $1700 I doubt he will get that.

My buddy had a firm price on his and he stuck to it. There wasn't a shortage of people wanting to look at it either.
I would for sure try to sell it on Gun Broker our Gun auction to maximize your return.
