Browning White Gold Medallion with Maple stock or Winchester Super Grade with Maple stock? Which would you prefer and why?

BOTH!

If just picking one I'd go with the Browning, just because If it's a question of Browning vs ? I'll almost always choose Browning.
Functionally, I prefer the Xbolts safety, and don't really care about crf. Thus it would make the choice for me easy, EXCEPT I want to try a Winchester.

Hmmm.... Hard choice. Both are beautiful... too pretty to ever hunt with... I'd say white gold medallion with the octagonal barrel first. That ones first simply because of the octagonal barrel. Regardless I'd wind up with both.

Which ever I bought I'd think about the other till it drove me crazy and I bought it too.

Those are real show stoppers at the range for sure. I like them both, so find the one in the caliber you like that fits you the best... and buy knowing both are winners.

Stay safe.

I’ve held both and I think the Winchester is probably better made. The bolt is close tolerance like classic bolt Guns were/are and all metal pieces are forging instead of cast which the Browning has quite a bit of. The bolt on the Browning simply falls back once the handle is lifted. It has a tremendous amount of clearance.

I bought the Browning with hex barrel but a month later the Winchester arrived at the store for $100 more than the Browning.

Browning and Winchester are both owned by the same entity, so I'd venture to guess it's six of one and half dozen of the other.

The Winchester would have been my first choice. I really like my M70 Extreme Weather. I’ve owned a few A-Bolts and they were great rifles, but the Winchester looks better and feels better to me and accuracy seemed even between the two manufacturers.
