When I just was starting out shooting, I spent a lot of time in the shotgun area, just lurking, and reading the sticky library. My first gun was a shotgun. Dave's posts gave me a lot to think about, and I learned quite a bit from him.

My prayers go out to his friends and family.

    Via con dios.

The world has suffered a great loss today.
My condolences to the family. You all are in my prayers.

I always wanted to have a lesson with Dave. It seems that'll have to wait a few years.

    Devotions.

For us, "heaven" is to meet again in a forest beside a river in the high country, reunited with all we have known as family.

    . tears .

    Safe Journey.

All I can do is wish him a perfectly fitted rifle, unlimited ammo, good targets to shoot, and perfect weather to shoot in wherever he is.

I never asked specific advice from him but have reviewed many posts in reply to others questions and his depth of knowledge was unbelievable.:) He will be missed here for sure. I can only imagine what the family is dealing with. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.

I never had the honor to meet Dave in real life, but he has positively influenced my life nonetheless with his vast knowledge and understanding of shotguns.

I am a better shooter because of him, and his influence will most assuredly be missed.

Though I also never met the man in person; Peace to Dave McCracken, his family, and friends. He has obviously been a part of many people's lives and will be remembered fondly and missed greatly. I, too, have appreciated the insight and wisdom he has shared here.
