I purchased a S&W 1911 a few months ago. When cleaning it after my first trip to the range, I noticed some chipping and flaking on the muzzle end of the barrel. I didn't think it was a show stopper in terms of looks, but I thought I should probably have them check it out. I sent their customer support a photo of the problem and I was promptly emailed a FED-EX shipping label. I get the pistol to them last week around Tuesday. Today I got it back with a new barrel. They replaced and tested it plus cleaned the gun (i'd sent it in as I had it, uncleaned).

Good Job, good service, and great gun. I just wanted all of you to know my experience so as to replay the great effort on S&W's part to get my firearm back to me promptly.
