A .243 is a great varmint to deer caliber. For p'dogs, you can use 55gr bullets effectively and scale on up to 100-105gr bullets for deer.

If deer hunting isn't in your future, then you may want to look at .223 as well, or 22-250 as other choices.

Tikka T3's are very nice rifles.

I've had pretty good results in my .243 Tikka with either a 55 gr Sierra Blitzking bullets and 44.0 grains of IMR 4895, It'll keep the first three cold in a 3/4" outside to outside but the firs two look like two mating flies. Chronographed speed of 3700 fps

Also had good luck with an 87 gr VMAX and 50.0 grains of VihtaVouri N560 with the bullet seated into the lands. I have several times put the first three cold bore into an under .350" outside to outside group. Chronographed speed of 3400 fps.

I worked with a 70 gr. Sierra Blitzking with 36.9 gr. of H4895 powder, but I can get the same speed with the 87 VMAX and better accuracy with my 55 or 87 gr loads.

How about federal power shok 80gr.sp or HSM bulk 75gr v-max from Cabela's.

It will probably shoot pretty good, I haven't shot but 25 factory rounds in my Tikka but it seems to shoot most 70-90 grain stuff relatively well, but not as good as what I can reload for it. If you are buying ammo of any kind make sure and save the brass, and if you don't want your Federal brass I'll take it. The Federal brass is about 20 grains heavier than any of the Winchester brass I have messed with and, with everything else being the same, I can get another 50 fps out of Federal brass on my 55 grain loads.

He has a .243 and looking for FACTORY ammo brands. Not sure why reloading advice and other calibers are coming into play.

Sorry Brad, no input as I don't have a .243 yet. Check out http://www.predatormastersforums.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php and post your question there in the firearms forum. All these guys do is predator and varmint hunt and the .243 is quite popular. Someone will be able to help you there.
