It was refreshing. I spent a lot of time dialing in the M700 Classic 8x57; Trigger, striker, Alaska TI stock and bedding. That 8x57 Tikka was box stock and shot like that. The other untuned test loads shot well too.
However the Tikka which has a long throat did not like the 150 grain Hornady load that was accurate in both the M700 & M70 8x57's with much tighter throats.
.243 Tikka T3, 100 grain Hornady BTSP, 40 grains H4350 in Federal cases.
300 yards. Roughly 0.7 MOA (Yawn).
Actually I'm pretty thrilled. Cheapest bulk blemished bullets Midway has and I didn't even measure each charge. Just dropped it from my Lee powder measure. Makes me wonder what the rifle could do with a better stock and optic in the hands of someone who actually knows how to load good ammo.
