I'm looking at a few. I'm open to other possibilities but am not interested in XD's or XDM's. Here is my options thus far pretty much in order of what I'm thinking and in order of price after holsters and extra mags are included. I'll be getting it today so as much imput I can get before I leave around 10AM will be helpful.

1. Glock 22 RTF
2. M&P 40
3. Kahr T40

The Kahr is really in a different league : all steel, single stack, much more expensive. I carried my Glock 17 a few times on long dog walks and I feel I can comfortably and indiscreetly carry guns these size. I've got a lot of experience with all three platforms. I can get the M&P for $500 with four mags. The 22 is $500, two mags but I have new night sights I can put on plus holsters and all the replacement parts I could need. The T40 will run about $750 but comes with night sights and two mags.

I'm open to other options but I don't like manual safeties though would consider trying one if I like all other aspects of the gun. Thanks in advance.

Glock or M&P. I left a similar reply on the post above. Glock for the main reason of unlimited accessories and holsters available.
M&P is a great gun.
Kahr just does not have any real appeal to me. Just sold my CW 9

Of the these three shoice, M&P. But if you want another sweet shooting 40, Sig 226 or CZ 75B are great guns.

Hmm, I find the rtf to be a little painful to hold, so I would get either a normal 22 and put some sandpaper on it, or the m&p if the grip fits your hand(feels awkward in mine).

I would also seriously consider the xd(m), I would personally take it over those three.

If you are looking at the G22, why not just get a G20 and a 40 conversion barrel? As someone mentioned above...
isn't the 10mm the "full-sized" 40?
That way you get the best of both worlds. 40 for the range, and 10mm for the world.

I've got a 20SF already. I guess I don't really NEED a FS 40, but... I had to work today afterall so I have more time to think about this. Some more 10mm ammo might be just what I need. I have a M&P 40c and two Glock 23's anyway. Thanks for setting me straight brothers.

Don't forget the HK USP40. LOTS and LOTS of beautiful slightly used ones on the market right now. Excellent gun!
