I'm running low on bullets and need to order some more. I only have experience with Ranier plated. I'm looking for opinions on other brands. Berry's, Precision delta, Zero, Rocky mountain and any others you know of. I'm probably going to stick with plated. Jacketed is rather pricey. I'm mostly looking for 9mm, 38/357 and 45 acp. Any advise and or comments?

Anyone have experience with precision delta? Good prices, and it looks like they are jacketed rather than plated.

Go to Berry's for Berry's, cut out the middle man, although Graf's is cheap, they show out of stock on everything. I just bought some .380 $68 shipped per K from Berrys. Just ordered some .357 HP $95 per K shipped, hard to beat and it is a nice bullet. I would also like to state that their website says 4-6 weeks out, I got my .380 in or around 3 weeks. Check em out I doubt you will find a better deal, delivered that quickly.

Precision Delta

Precision Delta is great. I have used 9mm, 40, and 45 and all performed well. Like everyone else right now they are struggling to meet production and are currently backordered. 6 to 10 weeks depending on caliber.

Berry's shows 131.29 per thousand 230g 45 acp, and $72.64 per thousand 115g 9mm. Precision Delta is $114 for 230g 45 acp, and $68 for 115g 9mm. I know the Berry's are plated, but are the Precision Delta jacketed or plated. The website says jacketed but I find that hard to believe considering the pricing. Any input?

Get a lead pot, some safety gear, a manual, some lead, Lee Lube, and some Lee moulds, and make yer own MUCH cheaper in the long run, if you don't mind shooting lead. :)

I'm just getting going on reloading so casting will be the next step. I've got some pretty decent loads worked up for my 9mm .38 and .45. Right now I just want to continue with what I have. If I buy too much more gear the wife will probably kill me with one of my own bullets. Haha.

When I buy my berry's I go to: TJ Conevera @ http://www.tjconevera.com/berrys-bullets.html

For the .45 ACP 200 gr HP:

TJ $110
Grafs $116.91
Berry's $120.85

All prices include shipping. However, All are out of stock. Even Berry's site says a lead time of 4-6 weeks.

but are the Precision Delta jacketed or plated. The website says jacketed but I find that hard to believe considering the pricing.

Precision Delta are jacketed and decent from what I hear. While I like Berry's there prices are not that competitive these days. The only reason I haven't ever tried Montana Gold is they are just too exspensive for me. Even though alot of people like them.

I just ordered a bunch of things from precision delta, so I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for all the input.

I'm backordered at Precision Delta, but they were nice enough to email me and let me know. Better communications than most any other site. Now, if the bullets show up, and they're worth the wait, I'll be pleased. They were sure as hell CHEAPER than any of the others...

Check out Roze Distribution for Zero brand jacketed and swaged bullets. I've bought quite a few from them. You might want to call first to see about shipping times, but I've never had to wait long for them to arrive.

I'm not out, so I don't mind a little wait. Hopefully not too long. I did a search on a few different sites. I didn't see a single negative thing about Precision Delta, so I figured I would give them a shot. I guess the worst that will happen is my order will get canceled and I'll give Berry's a try.

Precision Delta Has been good for me in 9mm 124gr FMJ. .072 ea.(or less for larger orders)

THEY ARE JACKETED BULLETS, and are a little 'stubbier' than Win 124 FMJs with a little different ogive. Their average length was slightly more consistent than Winchester. They shoot well with light loads. I only tried a few with heavier loads and they shot well too---actually slightly better patterns at 25 yds than light loads.

I'm over a month backordered for another 2K. Their latest email said they wouldn't even be making the 124fmj (and some other 9mm) until late June.

I've ordered some Montana Gold 124gr fmj that should come in the next couple of days.

I would like to try Berry's new 124fphb but don't have time to work up a new load---maybe later.

Precision Delta? Lots a luck getting them any time soon. I've been waiting 13 weeks on 2000 bullets. The only reason I don't cancel my order is I want to see exactly how long it's gonna take. That way, when I need to order bullets again I'll know why NOT to order from PD!!!!

Well I have ordered strait form berry's recently b/c TJ was out. Got mine in 4 weeks. So I guess that's always an option if others are taking that long.

glockgod: what exactly are you waiting for. I have heard certain calibers in certain weights are not being produced right now. I'm waiting on 230g 45's and 115g 9mm's

editingfx: Flat point hollow base.

I've seen some pics and heard they shot well. It looks like the hollow point but 'backwards'. It's not a concave base, but a tapered cone base.

glockgod: You need to remember PD is offering jacketted bullets at a very good price (as cheap or lower than plated) , shipped. It's little wonder they are burried alive with orders. They've been good about email updates/contact in the past.

I believe their specialty is LEO competition ammo. I expect they take priority. When this buying craze slows down PD is a good company.
