I feel the same way about both species- as long as they stay on the other side of the fence, we will get along just fine, lol.

I'm sure you were fine with the 40 S&W from the Glock. When you see tracks like those you just stop think and look around

I think that really depends more on the ammo than the cartridge. If it's a FMJ or hardcast, penetration from a .40 would still be very good. But JHPs designed more towards expansion than penetration wouldn't be a great choice. It's part of the reason I often keep a mag of FMJ-FN handy.

Enjoying the Shenandoah National Park again this week. The foliage is past its peak, but still very nice.

We did a little hiking and enjoyed the sights



Mrs. WisBorn carried bear spray we both had our hiking staffs. I carried my Taurus 415 41 mag.

The revolver is about as big as I can pocket carry. It is loaded with 230 grain HSM Bear Loads.

I don't carry it a lot even though it's my favorite handgun. I like to pocket carry. The 686 gets carried owb in a Galco holster.

Oh yea, got me on every much like that. Mine has a slightly different grip, 3" barrel, but looks verrrrrryy similar. I love the action on it.

It's a 3", I have the custom wood grips, but I like the smaller bantam Hogue grips.

I had a 4" but shot the 3" better.

Headed up into the Idaho woods for a quick UTV ride today and grabbed my Glock Gen 5 G19 MOS. I've been carrying it since the election and since it was handy and the bears are in hibernation, figured it was just fine.

It was. Snow wasn't as deep as I had hoped, but I still had fun...

Many of you are hunting while some of you are bringing in the crops or getting your livestock ready for winter. I hope you all have the opportunity to spend time outdoors the best medicine we all can receive.

I'm enjoying some hiking in the Smokies this week while celebrating my 56th birthday.



Went to Cades Cove and saw lots of deer and turkeys. Only one bear. They were doing a controlled burn while there.

It's been a great week of hiking. I carried my Taurus 415 41mag. Going to start shopping for a new carry gun with a little more bang for hiking out west next fall.
