Not much news in my favorite thread!?!
You guys need to step up your woods bumming and hiking!
I'm not much help either....we're still trying to get rolling with our spring planting but little April showers keep things dampened down. Just about the time we can work....another front rolls through and makes puddles again.
I took the Honda back to the creek for a little while.
I usually catch Kentucky bass here, but today it was two crappie!
There was a large old pond dam about five miles north of me that failed and drained the water into Panther Creek which in turn drains I to North Fork. Ever since then we catch a few crappie. Very unusual for us to have crappie fishing in our river....but always fun to catch one.

This time I carried my kframe s&w 38
View attachment 1207084I really like how it shoots and not too heavy to carry. When I take a 38 along I have six loaded and two speed strips. That's always plenty of ammo.
When I carry my sr9c it has a 17rd mag and I always carry a spare?! That's 34rds!
Why?
I read the "Doc Ford" series by R.W. White. If you like the Florida gulf coast, you would likely enjoy his books. His "Doc Ford" was an ex CIA type that kept a Sig 226 in a oiled CROWN ROYAL bag in his sock drawer.
I have been keeping my 3" 38spl pre 10 in one too, unloaded of course.
